“I went to three dentists about my worn down incisors -- they were getting really thin. Dr.Gierman was the only one who explained the cause of the problem and all the treatment options. I selected high noble metal crowns with porcelain in front, which she installed three weeks ago. She did an outstanding job, the crowns are very substantial, and they look great!
If I had not seen Dr.Gierman I would have gotten ceramic crowns as a friend of mine did a few years ago. He bit into a hard piece of bread, broke the posts used to reinforce the teeth with ceramic crowns, and now has to get a bridge. It's sad but true that some dentists are more concerned with maximizing profits than they are with the well being of the patient.
The hygienist and the front desk staff are also excellent. It's great dealing with a dental practice that has the ability, the latest technology, and the will to do the job right.

“I had a horrific tooth ache Friday night and without having a local dentist I was a wreck not knowing where to go. I googled dentists near me and found Glenbard Family Dental. I called their office (it was after hours) and the recording said I could TEXT (yes, text) them if it was an emergency. I texted the number and within minutes I had an appointment for the next day!
I ended up having to get my tooth pulled, which was horrible, but these ladies made it the best experience possible. I was crying all over their office partly due to the pain and anticipation and partly because they were just so amazing. I can't say enough about how great the staff was, seriously every one of them! They put me at ease and were pleasant, yet direct.

Very thorough cleaning and checkup, they seem to look into potential problem spots more than I've experienced at other places, even put my X-rays on the tv to show me. “Wednesday night, chipped my tooth, Thursday afternoon made appointment, filled out the very short simple forms ahead of time since they available online, and thursday evening went in for a filling. As a first time customer got all X-Rays done, scheduled a cleaning appointment and thanks to having PDP insurance, did not have to pay too much. (20%). Furthermore, the office staff is professional and polite, make you feel comfortable.. like asking if you like the channel you're watching while in the chair. The office is very modern and looks like they use all the latest dental tools. Most of all Dr. Gierman is very polite, educated me on what the x-rays tell her, informative while quickly humming along with the filling. The whole visit took less than an hour (included 10 mins of waiting while new patient info was input). All in all, i look forward to coming back to the dentist for my cleaning.. is that hard to believe? It felt less like a doctor visit, more like an oil change or something... ( Bonus: Finding a dentist with small hands is a plus when they need to get far back into your mouth.) :) ”
